Spider-Man is swinging back to Indian cinemas, and this time it’s bigger than ever. Ahead of the release of the next chapter, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, Sony Pictures has announced a special re-release of every Spider-Man film, both live-action and animated, across theatres in India.
The studio’s decision means fans will get a chance to relive two decades of web-slinging adventures, starting from Tobey Maguire’s first outing in 2002 all the way to the Oscar-winning ‘Spider-Verse’ saga.

For many, this will be a nostalgic trip. For newer fans, it’s a chance to experience the character’s evolution on the big screen.
The line-up is spread across several weeks. Sam Raimi’s original trilogy starring Tobey Maguire kicks off the event on November 14. The spotlight then moves to Andrew Garfield’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ films, which return on November 21.
Following that, Tom Holland’s Marvel Cinematic Universe versions of the superhero will take over theatres from November 28. Finally, the animated adventures, ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ and ‘Across the Spider-Verse’, will swing into cinemas on December 5.
Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International, India, explained the reason behind this celebration. He said the idea is to honour Spider-Man’s legacy and thank the fans who have supported him for decades.
At the same time, it’s an opportunity for first-time viewers to enjoy the superhero’s stories on the big screen, the way they were meant to be seen.
The excitement is also building for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, which began filming in Glasgow in August. The new movie is going to arrive in theatres in July 2026. While details about the story remain under wraps, the title hints at fresh beginnings for the web-slinger.
Spider-Man is one of the most beloved heroes in the Marvel universe, and his movies have shaped pop culture around the world.
